Extended Warranty and Service Plan Pricing

anyone know what the current dealer incentives are as of Nov 1st. In Oct they were $4000. But those expired Oct 31st. Thanks in advance

According to the Edmunds site there still is 4k dealer cash and 1k if you finance through IFS. This is through end of November.

Just purchased my 2012 QX (18 miles) 2 weeks ago and I used the VPP A Plan. It was a 2WD with Theater package, and wheel and tire package. Also, the vehicle included the Roof rack, cargo netting, illuminated kick plates, stainless bumper protectors... can't remember what else. Anyway, the MSRP was 67K... purchased 53,300 Out the door. I financed through IFS for the $1,000 discount. You have to keep the loan for atleast 120 days, FYI. Hope this helps...

I assume your out the door does not count TTL?

TTL was included. TTL totaled about $500.00 of the total. In south carolina, taxes are 5% of the sale price or $300 Max.

I to am looking a t pulling the trigger on a 2012 QX56 White/Wheat, 22's, Theater. Currently looking at a new 2012 (650 miles) and a Pre-owned 2012 (6k miles). the new one is at $62000 and teh Preowned is at $59500. The preowned was a dealer demo.

Any opinions on which direction to go, New, Used ? Would have to travel to TX from KS to get Preowned.

Bought 2012 about a five weeks ago, Theatre, Tire & Wheel, Kick plates, Mats, Roof xrails. $60k.

Online purchase of Elite Warranty for another dealer?

who/where has the best price? got about 3k on our 2012 QX.

thanks?

kick plates, mats, roof rails, chrome bumper pieces should not be considered anything special. you can purchase those items separately and install them yourself and use that negotiation money for something worthwhile.

ask them to install the impact sensor to boost the factory alarm.

The current stock of remaining 2012 QX's is reducing, but these dealers really want to get rid of them and giving unprecedented deals. I just bought a new 2wd QX with theatre and tire/wheel package with am MSRP of $67,420 for $53,400. Color was liquid platinum.

This was achieved by the dealer selling at invoice, minus $4000 dealer cash, $1000 cash for financing with Infiniti, and an additional $1250 VPP monies.

If your looking for a new QX , now is the time to get a deal on the 2012's that r left.

I am not real familiar with the Elite Warranty, but am familiar with adding warranties to existing cars. I am a former car broker, and can tell you that dealerships LOVE to sell extended warranties on any car because there is so much profit involved. Please remember there are a ton of different companies offering extended warranties and can be added almost any time. These warranties are VERY negotiable, so if you are considering it, be a good negotiator.

I have bought MANY cars in my day, and have never added any additional warranties, as I feel it is somewhat of a scam. Now..forgive me, but the elite warranty may be different. Is this an infiniti warranty and what does it cover?

I bought a Toyota Sequioa 100k warranty several years ago. Right before 100k miles I had the vehicle fully inspected and found a few items that needed fixing. The Toyota dealer fixed $1500 worth of repairs under warranty. The warranty paid for itself in my case. However, when financing the vehicle I got half a percent knocked off the interest rate just for buying the warranty. The monthly payment was the same but with the warranty.

I may have the name wrong, I'm looking to by the Infiniti extended warranty not a 3rd party.

We had a 2006 Honda minivan completely maxed out prior to the QX and I discovered that any dealer can sell you the warranty and some will do so at little above their cost (think $100-200). We purchased a 7 yr 100k for around $1000. The original price at purchase time was like $3k.

Now the car only came with 3/36k, and since it had sliding doors, nav, DVD, etc we purchased it for the $1k. Glad we did, as sure enough we had sliding door and head unit failures after 3 years and it paid for itself.

So I'm trying to find which Infiniti dealer(s) might do the same here.......

Is there any way this price reported is legit? $32,568 for a MY13 2WD sold at Austin Infiniti, in Austin Texas....

We ended up buying yesterday, $2,500 for the 8yr warranty, 8yr maintenance plan, they threw in LoJack.

Wait, that can't be right can it? I was at my dealership today and asked for the price to extend my warranty to 100k from the base 60k. My 2011 QX56 currently has 54,000 miles on it.

I was told $6,400 to extend the warranty.

By the way, just had a new engine put in it. It was $16k+ billed on the warranty I was told. Thank god I was still under warranty. How can anyone afford to NOT extend the warranty, knowing a new engine will cost $16k??

The more miles you have the more expensive it will be. Less than 30K miles, warranty will cost about 2300 - 2600. Over 30 but below 40, add another 1400 to the price. You are at 60K, therefor it's highly possible it will be in the 6K range.

I'm struggling to understand how that makes any sense whatsoever. I would be paying for protection from the 60,001 miles to the 100,000 mile mark on the odometer, regardless of wether I purchased it with 1 mile on the car, or 54,000 miles on the car. Correct?

Why would the current mileage on the vehicle affect the price to cover the vehicle from the 60,001 - 100,000 mile timeframe??

What happened to your engine at 54k that required a new one? I'm almost 1/2 of the way to that number!
