Man.... I'm glad I purchased that 6yr/120k warranty. But so far so good with my Truck
I don't understand..The dealer sees the problem. . We see it.. thankfully we bought the extended warranty.. really. However if the problem keeps repeating why should we have to buy an extended warranty where is Infiniti. ..resale value.. etc. Two timing chain issues.. cat's. It's embarrassing to tell anyone you have this vehicle.
Has anyone been successful in getting Infiniti to step up???
I changed it no more than 7500 mile intervals as the owners manual states.
Were you using synthetic oil? That's more than twice the recommended service interval of 3700. Where did you have it serviced? Most all shops keep records of changes. If you can attain those records you may be able to prove that it was not your fault.
This is one of just many reasons why going to the dealership for service work is worth the hassle and cost.
I'm sorry for your issues. Hope for the best.
how many receipts are missing?? when was your last oil change?? I guess they're looking for 13-14 receipts..
shoot, you can even ask your credit card company to produce a receipt record for 2 years.. they can easily categorize it for you based on auto repairs.
if you have 10 or more receipts, tell them to fk ing fix it or you'll sue them.
I have a 2012 QX56 with 52000 miles and also have timing chain failure. It is not failed to the point where it broke and took out the motor, but it has the hi pitched whine associated with this issue. Infiniti is denying the claim because they are saying I didn't change the oil often enough. I changed it according to the recomended 7500 mile service interval in the book. The problem is they say that is not often enough and I can only produce receipts for 4 changes. I never knew I was required to keep the receipts. The warranty book states that Nissan cannot deny warranty coverage based on the lack of maintenance receipts. This is a serious design flaw in these engines and Nissan is running away from the problem. I have had many large GM SUV's and never once had any mechanical problems like this. It was more little things. I went with this vehicle because of the technology and quality. I was certainly wrong. I would not recommend this vehicle to ANYONE considering a used one. These timing chains are a disaster waiting to happen.
My car is at the dealer now and I'm not done fighting. I'll update the board on here as well. Does anyone have the TSB number for this problem?
Thanks
I use a debit card and it doesn't sort them like that. I can only go back a few months online. I don't have the missing receipts. I know I used a few quick change places away from home.
