Have a new 2012 QX56 with every option available... Since the Feb 2012 purchase, i feel a vibration from the gas pedal to my foot each time i accelerate from a stopped position. Once i get up to speed it goes away. Service dept replaced pedal assembly under warranty, that did nothing to improve the problem. They said they don'have a fix unless Infiniti issues a TSB... But they "have noticed it in other new QX 56's"! Anyone else noticed this issue? Very annoying to say the least!

ive a 2012 with all trim options including the 22s and ive not experienced this issue as yet.

i purchased back in September and the car was made a month prior.

have not seen any posts on the accelerator pedal vibrating but i will keep a look out on other forums i frequent...

The Technology Package adds Blind Spot Intervention and a lane departure mitigation system designed to help the driver bring the SUV back to the middle of its lane.

Infiniti's enormous QX56 adopted the brand's styling to look a bit more like its smaller cohorts. The standard 5.6-liter V-8 has direct fuel injection and makes 400 horsepower.
So there should be no issue like this, but may be a very rare case with you.

I have the 2011 with everything as well and notice exactly the same thing. I did read somewhere it may be related to a drive shaft issue, but haven't mentioned it yet to the dealer. I will mention it next time as it seems more of a wider spread issue than I originally thought.

yes i would appreciate sources that suggest the pedal vibrates. could very well be defects. I would say this is not something minor if it is indeed a problem seen on a few other vehicles...

My QX 56 is in the shop today for the 3rd time today, specifically for this issue. Gave them an email from an online "Infiniti service expert " who stated that he felt it was an isssue with the exhaust vibration from "exhaust hangers" needing to be repositioned...says he has seen many cases of factory pipes being bent or in wrong position that causes the pedal vibration.

Will let you all know what happens today on this matter...

Any update on the issue. I bought a 2012 about a week ago and am having a similar issue. I can feel the vibration with 3-4 people and a loaded trunk. It seems to go away when I am by myself in the SUV.

Had my 2011 1 year service today. I mentioned the slight vibration felt through the gas pedal.

They said they felt the slight vibration and that they had felt it in other QX56 vehicles of that year and later.

There is no service bulletin at this time, and so nothing that they can do at this time, but suggested it is something that may be being looked at by Infiniti.

Not exactly the best thing to hear, but not something I'm going to jump up and down over. It is so slight and only noticeable when the vehicle starts for a complete stop, but it is documented at least.

Have your fluids changed. Most likely the transfercase or diff has either dirty fluid or low fluid. The vibration you feel is almost like a very dull grind i bet

Unlikely. We're talking about very new vehicles that have had the vibration since new.

Vibrating Gas Pedal

Lexx is correct - I pushed this issue up to Infiniti Consumer Affairs ("ICA"), after 3 attempts at the local Infiniti Service Center to cure the problem, and getting the common response of "we see (and feel) your problem, but we have no fix until a TSB is issued".

I received a letter on 07/25/12 from ICA, to which they acknowledged my online complaint, and stated "Infiniti is looking into the issue".

I reveived a phone call yesterday from ICA, and the rep responded to me (and I quote him)... "Infiniti recognizes this (the gas pedal vibration) is a common problem with the redesigned 2011 and 2102 Infiniti QX 56's. They are studying the problem to find a fix, and will then issue a TSB as soon as possible to the local Infiniti Service Departments. I should then get a call from the local Service Department for a scheduled repair".

Well, at least Infiniti has acknowledged they DO have an issue with a vibrating gas pedal on the QX's! My local Infiniti Service Manager actually drove every new QX 56 on the lot, and told me "every one has the same issue"!

So, for all who have this issue, I hope we all have a fix coming soon. I plan to bug them until mine is fixed. I urge any of you who have this problem to go online here and register a similar complaint:

No vibration here. 2012 qx theater package. 20" wheels. 7k miles.

Car manufactures sometimes have problems with fluid amount verification before they leave the factory. Basically sometimes the people get lazy and say they checked when they didnt. You would be suprised how common of a problem this is. Thats why I get all the drivetrain fluids changed at around 1k miles. Gets rid of break-in material and makes sure I have the amount of fluid i need in the drivetrain

Vibration

That's killer the shop won't attempt to troubleshoot an issue until they have a TSB. Actually that's disappointing.
I don't have the vibration, 2011 model, w/20 inch wheels.

Do most of you all feel it when loaded or four or more people in it?
If so interesting that its only when the suspension is compressed some.
Putting on a lift and inspecting is only good if you look at close clearance items and see if things have actual rub marks.

Universal joints will cause vibration when traveling, not at standstill.

Does the vibration only occurs when in Gear ? Not while in Neutral ?

Never can tell, it could be a transmission cooling line that is close to the throttle linkage, if it only happens in gear. But wait, we are probably drive by wire, no linkage ? I will go look.

Is this occurring in 2wd models or 4wd only ? If its 4wd, there is a transfer case that adds complexity.

wouldn't that be wild if we figure it out on the forum here before a TSB:D
thanks

vibrating gas pedal

Mine is 2012 QX56, fully loaded 2WD, 22" Wheels. It happens when starting off from a standstill and the gas pedal vibration is between the 2,500 - 3,000 rpm range - then goes away. I have also tested it in my driveway in park, revved up the motor, and it STILL kicks in about the same range. Fully loaded or not is not the issue for me - it occurs every time from a stop.

Have a coworker with a 2011 - basically same everything, and hers does the same thing.

Yes, it disappoints me that the local Infiniti Service Department cannot diagnose this at all!

I just purchase a 2012 QX56 and have the same problem. When emailing corporate I got a respone to the effect that the local dealer was best to handle the situation. I then called corporate and had the rep look this issue up and it looked like it was being worked on but no date was in the computer (which means it's a waiting game).

vibration issues

Just dropped my 2011 off this morning and mentioned the vibration too.....we will see what they say

Vibrating Gas Pedal

Go to this link for Infiniti Consumer Affairs... register your problem... at least the more who complain won't hurt. Yes, they will say "they are looking into it (as a potential TSB)", but the Local Infiniti Service Departments won't even attempt a fix without a TSB. The just say "we're still waiting"! For an SUV in this price range, that is so insulting!
