Hello, glad to see this form has some activity and look forward to being able to contribute. I have a 2017 QX80 and I've been having problems with the clarity of the bluetooth. I can hear people just fine, but they cannot hear me well. My voice is not clear. They say it sounds like I'm in a tunnel or underwater. They also say there is what sounds like background noise (I don't think it actually is as I'll explain).
It seems like sometimes clarity is better than others but overall it's never been good. We recently upgraded my wife's phone so I was hoping that might improve the performance but there was no change. The phone is a Samsung Galaxy A52 5G. I've also tried with my phone a Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and the same quality issues exist. I've searched around to see if others are reporting the same issue but haven't come up with much for the QX80. I found some comments about adjusting the microphone sensitivity level in the cars diagnostic menu settings (with car in park and radio off, press settings and then turn the volume down several turns). I tried adjusting the sensitivity between low, medium & high and there's no apparent difference in my test calls. I was making the test calls sitting in my garage with the engine off (just in ACC mode) and my wife said she still heard background noise as if I were on the highway. I've seen a few other comments about echo cancellation settings on phones but I don't see any settings I can adjust on any of my phones.
Is anyone else having this issue? I know Infiniti had problems with bluetooth back in the '06-07 time frame but I was expecting that to be fixed by now. Pretty annoying that I can't use this feature for a decent conversation.
