Don't be like me and snap one when you are trying to remove the tire, breaking both the lugnut and the key. Good luck finding a 22mm emergency lug nut remover on a sunday.

And i'm not that strong.

Sigh.

lucky you :)

on the bright side i now own an impact wrench and a bunch of sockets for it, along with a torque wrench.

Good info! While I don't have wheel locks on mine, I also discovered the hard way that the decorative "caps" on all the other lug nuts "swell" over time. So, on the side of the road using the stock tire iron... you have to kind of "forcefully" shove it, wiggle it, to get it on a lug nut. When I then took the tire in for a flat repair, the techs demonstrated the same thing with their impact sockets. Beating them onto the lug nut. He then explained the swelling. I originally thought the stock tire iron was just crap. Nope.

i'd recommend picking up a breaker bar (for a 1/2 inch socket) and a 22mm deep socket for it. the added length of the socket gives you more safety if the lug gets damaged in some way (compared to the factory tire iron)
