grab the service manual to your year car. you can find it easily online. go to the AV section and it will show what needs to be done. it does involve some equipment to align...

Already swapped my 12 QX56 to the 15 QX80 grille. I dont really want to swap the bumper but I would really like to do the headlight swap. Any re-wiring issues or plug and play? And I know the mounting is exactly the same. Just curious and wondering about the connectors and the leds

did you try this?

OPERATION PROCEDURE
1. Start the engine.
2. Turn the audio system off.
3. While pressing the “SETTING” button, turn the VOLUME CONTROL control dial counterclockwise 30 clicks or more. And then got to "cameras". You can reset them there.

Also, does anyone know if the lower grill is plug and play?

lower grill is NOT plug and play. There is additional wiring for additional lighting.

Not sure I follow. What lights and wires would this grill entail? Just wondering if anyone knows if it fits in the opening.

I found the 15-17 grill on eBay; bolts right on but the camera does have to be recalibrated or else the red X will appear on the screen anytime the camera(s) are activated.

I’m new and it’s a chance this has been posted already. But I have a 2012 QX56 and would like to change to the 2015 QX80 Grill, Bumper, Heaslights... has anyone done it? If so where can I get parts? And is it all plug and play? Does everything bolt right back together? And safety features won’t work? Thanks!

I have a 2012 with a 2015 front end, minus headlights fogs were plug and play, lower turn signals will be spliced into headlight harness one day when i get bored, and ICC radar section had to be cut out (older ICC Radars cant operate behind the plastic cover, so you can just cut it out).

Updated 2015-16 QX80 grill on 2011-14 QX56

I like the grill updated look! Also where is the daytime/signal light mod link…?

Thanks. This was a DIY mod I decided to do on my Z62 to give it a slight difference from the rest of the crowd. Awhile back, I ended up removing the TRS XB LED fogs and put back the OE fogs with 3K LEDs. If you've ever installed aftermarket fogs, audio, etc.. anything that required installation of a relayed wiring harness, then this DIY mod isn't too difficult to do.

A quick and easy way to do this mod is to cut and switch the signal wires from the parking light and turn signal pigtails. So now the 168/194
bulb becomes the turn signals/hazards and the 7440 becomes the parking lights. But no DRL.

For a DRL setup, always use a relayed wiring harness. Since I had already installed one for the fog lights, I cut the wires for the 7440 from the OE harness. From the 7440 pigtail, I extended and ran the wires to tap into the relayed wiring harness. Once I switch the truck to ON/Start, custom DRLs.

Thanks..! Sounds a little complicated but doable with a little patience. Do you have a YouTube or pic tutorial somewhere of it…?
