Stiff Steering

The steering on my 2013 QX56 is stiff. The stiff steering was not gradual and started this morning. I do not have any leaks at the steering pump or rack and pinion.
I have not heard any grinding and the steering is stiff when you turn either way. I tried replacing the fluid and that did not help. The fluid is circulating while the truck
is running. Do you think it is the steering pump, rack and pinion or something else?

My mechanic replaced the steering pump with the OEM Infiniti part and it did not resolve the issue. The next step is to replace the rack and pinion, which is expensive. Any other suggestions of what the issue could be?
 
sorry to hear you are still having the issue.

do you hear any "groaning" type noises when you turn the wheel when sitting? do the rpms dip/engine feels like its struggling ( for lack of a better term) when you do this?

what size tires are on the car? stock size? smaller?

when you drive the car is it easier to turn vs when sitting still or is it the same feel/experience?

No "groaning" or other noises prior to the issue. No dip in the rpms. Stock/Oem 22 inch rims. The truck is easier to steer at higher speeds but difficult at lower speeds. The steering is definitely easier than if the truck was turned off but not normal for sure. Again, the issue popped up overnight.
