Gasoline
Hey Rsanders24, You have always giver great advice on here and I appreciate the 'Top-Tier' Gasoline information.
I am glad to see that chevron is top-tier, I have a local one I use, sparingly , because there is ethanol in it. Does the QX have a combination of Direct Injection and multi-port injection ?
My 06 Is350 has both types of fuel injection, supposedly. They say it has a active recall for carbon build up. Which I would suspect that it would occur on the Intake valves, like you said can happen.
I have not had it in for the recall :
a) I don't trust them working on it
b) it runs as well if not better than the day we picked it up in March of 06.
It idles so smooth. 48k miles. I kinda credited the seafoam for that, but now, it maybe the Chevron gas ?
Don't hold it against me if I say I use 'Seafoam' in it. Makes me feel better.

I had used seafoam to clean an older throttle body injection on a 96 Dodge Ram. Worked really good. (white smoke you wouldn't believe)
I didn't know that it didn't help direct injection on intake valves.
I do have a 'Pure' brand gas station that only sells non ethanol gasoline. I use it a lot and run it all the time in my Triumph motorcycle. But I see it's not in the top tier list.
I am going to have to re-think all this now. Surprised about Valero on the top-tier list and not Marathon.
Sheetz, Pilot, and Loves not listed. ( Pilot & Loves are truck stops) They have good diesel fuel.
Thanks
Parrott
