Now that we've had the QX long enough I can weigh in on this discussion, there's very little I dislike. The OP had a great list of the loves...I could add a couple of more pages. To sum it up, I can escort executives to lunch during the week in it and effortlessly tow our boat to the lake with it on the weekends in style. There aren't a whole lot of vehicles that can do both so well.
A few other loves I didn't see listed above:
- Power folding 2d row seats...or ejection seats as we call them. They're a little violent when they fold, but it's very convenient to be able to roll them forward from the driver's seat.
- Surround sound stereo sounds amazing when kids are watching movies
- Air conditioned seats are great as the temperature is rising.
- The simplicity of the menus and controls. The voice recognition is decent and everything else is where you'd expect to find it.
- It's been mentioned, but worth stating again as my favorite thing: the combination of engine, transmission, and suspension. This vehicle handles like something a fraction of its size and hits the perfect balance of performance, comfort, and gas mileage (really not that bad for something this size).
If I was being really, really nit-picky, a few opportunities to improve:
- Blu-ray player rather than DVD. Even though the screen quality might not be HD, I don't own any movies released in the last 5 years in DVD format. The video inputs allow the kids to either play movies we own on the iPad or stream Netflix easily, so it's not a big concern.
- My "anti-collision" alarm occasionally goes off for no reason. I like to keep this sensor active because it sometimes detects traffic slowing in front of me before I do. I've had a few times in the open road where it will beep without any obstacle in front of me. Maybe it's a calibration issue with mine...not sure.
- Infiniti could have included an exclusive step-ladder so I could wash the roof. Ok...I'm obviously out of improvement opportunities at this point.
