Your thoughts on the air cooled seat feature...

some of you cats on here may have owned (or own) other vehicles that have cooled seats (not VENTILATED, but cooled, there is a difference) and I wanted to know how the Q's cooled seats fare against others.

if you have not owned other vehicles with this feature (like myself) and this is the first vehicle you have owned with it (myself included), what are your thoughts on the cooling of the seats. are you satisfied?

I rarely notice the cooling of this feature - I do notice the noise the fan makes much more...never had cooling feature previously, but this seems pretty weak...
 
I am experiencing the exact same. At least it seems this is the "normal" way this feature is supposed to work.

I have read some other forums (gmc) and some of those cats say their seats get ice cold, they have to turn them down to a low setting.

i think on some of those GMC/Cadillac rides, it seems some of them are actually connected to the HVAC? that is what I THOUGHT I read, while some other seats just suck in surrounding cabin air.

One of my favorite features. Living on Texas makes that feature very useful. Just wish they offered it for the 2nd row.

so you are satisfied with the comfort level you get with the cooled setting?

how long do you run it on cool. and do you feel the temp stay consistent or does it eventually lose it cool feel?
 
....minimal seat cooling compared to my Escalade.
I love the seat cooling feature, but it just doesn't work that well.
Even my wifes SRX cools better.
 
appreciate your response KF. so I at least know its doing its job.. just not as effective as other car makers....

I'm really disappointed with the cooled seats in my QX. I had the 2011 model and now I have the 2012. Cooled seats don't work well. They take a long time to cool and the fan is too noisy. I'd rather just run the AC and wait for the seats to cool with the rest of the car. The cooled seats in my Optima are much better than the cooled seats in my QX.

I have notice this cooling features many times but there is so much noise of fan. I like cooling feature of seats, but it need some improvement.
