Hi all, I'm considering a QX and was wondering how the wheat interior is holding up over time...especially the steering wheel, seats, and arm rests. I have the light gray interior in my current vehicle and it's susceptible to dirt and smudges on the high contact areas (arm rests, seat bolsters, bottom part of the door, etc).

I tried the search function but didn't see any results. Thanks in advance.

Also, I'm impressed by the overall lack of complaints about the QX here...speaks well about Infiniti's build quality.

The QX is holding up well... you're correct about the lack of complaints, as most forums are setup to complain complain and complain some more.

I have the wheat interior. It's holding up well after one year, though I must admit I drive alone 80% of the time, and my kids are well behaved.

The steering wheel does get dirty, so you'll have to scrub it clean with a leather cleaner every few months. the arm rest and seats are holding up well. the rear of the front seats do seem to attract the foot prints of my 11yr old, as she enjoys kicking me when I'm "annoying" her :P

My biggest gripe are the $150 weather floor mats I purchased from the $tealer... they're way to short for the driver side well, I'm thinking about returning them. I just bought a pair from Costco for $15buckeroos... I'll try installing them this weekend, and if they fit and look good the others will go back.

Plus I hate the navigation... but I'm in the minority on this issue.

thanks for the information, i prefer the black interior but the local dealer only has one QX with it in stock and it's a base model with no packages. have a good one.

when we were looking to purchase, we took the kids to the dealer. they climbed all over the seats like kids do and left a ton of footprints on the wheat. right then and there I decided it was too light and went for the black.

Well it turns out the black is great for showing dirt and footprints, salt residue (winters) and dog hair. It might be better at hiding scuffs and light damage, but probably worse at dirt, tough that is hard to say.

neither color is family friendly, in my opinion, as there are trade-offs in each.

I had the same fear on the wheat color. I ended up with the black interior and I will say I don't think it would show as much 'grime' as the wheat over daily use. But the black does show dust, salt etc but cleans up easily..

The QX is one of the most trouble-free vehicles I have ever owned.

I have the wheat interior because I like the contrast to my dark exterior.

I've found the front floor mats to be the most difficult things to keep clean. I have the all weather mats and like someone said earlier, they leave a large area uncovered. I just ordered the premium carpeted floor mats and will see if those do any better.
