Unless your tongue weight is quite a bit more than 10% of your trailer weight (420 lbs in this case) you might have an issue with your air bags working properly. I tow my boat which has a tongue weight of around 500 lbs and the compressor will kick on to level the vehicle. Do you hear your compressor running?Hi everyone, I have a 2011 qx56 that has 8,500 tow capacity. I bought a mini toy hauler that weighs 4200lbs dry and the rear end sags 3-4” even with the on board air bag system.
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance![]()
Dry weights for rv's are always way under the actual loaded weight. We have a 45' fifth wheel with a dry weight of 16800 and we are just over 20k.Unless your tongue weight is quite a bit more than 10% of your trailer weight (420 lbs in this case) you might have an issue with your air bags working properly. That makes me wonder if his tongue weight is much higher as well. That could be the issue. The air suspension only does so much. I picked up some flooring at Home Depot a couple years ago and completely loaded her down and she was sagging even with the air suspension.Dry weights for rv's are always way under the actual loaded weight.
