Tow/Hitch Cover

Yes that would work. I need access to the electric harness as well (which is off center to the left, and I need to attach emergency chains, so I needed the opening quite large. It doesn't look great, but it is a LOT better than without the cover at all - at least it looks "finished" now.

Dang that looks a TON better, nice work on that!

Hopefully Infiniti will start making these covers revealing the tow hitch for those of us not so gifted in making alterations. This has been an issue I have had since first removing the factory cover and using the hitch.

Removal and Replacement of Filler Cover on Back bumper

Anyone have experience removing and replacing the Filler cover to access the hitch? I have heard they break easily if not removed correctly.

Its part #20

Thanks

I don't think it's hard...just make sure you take the fasteners off the bottom. I believe it just pops off with a lil tug after that.

I have removed and replaced mine on several occasions with zero issues. It's plastic so just make sure you aren't too aggressive when removing it and all should be good.
I didn't replace the retainers at the back after I removed it for the first time. I just used the snap/pressure fit tabs to let it hold in place.

This thread is what brought me to this site. I know this is an older thread, so I wondered if anyone has stumbled across an after market cover that still allows access, since the last post here.

I will buy and modify as was shown by Mike-Allard, otherwise. By the way, that looks great, especially for DIY. (y)
