When it gets cold out there is a squeak in the door closer mechanism inside the rear panel. I look but not sure where the squeak is coming from let alone how to remove the panel to locate any areas that need grease. Anyone dealt with this?

Is it the rear door in the very back end of the vehicle, or the ones behind the driver and front passenger doors?

I had a squeak from the driver side door, turned out the bolts for the door hinge were all loose. Purchased vehicle new 2011 QX56. Must have come from the factory that way, or loosened up during shipment.

Subscribed.
I carry a lot of boxes in the back of ours so I just wrote it off as a couple of them rubbing together. However it is much more prominent when it is in the single or negative digits.
Glad to know it's not just me.
Keep us posted if you figure out what it is.

They had to replace my hinges on both front doors because the brackets kept getting loose and I guess something must of been terminal for them to replace the whole thing. But the bolts on the original brackets would always loosen.

Not the side doors, the rear hatch. Side door hinges would be easy to grease but the noise is coming from inside the rear panel where the automatic door closer is. Yup, it is much more prominent during very low temps.

They replace both hinges on my drivers side front and rear door. Also, when it gets real cold (like -30C) I also get the creaking of the rear hatch hinges...

Anyone getting the front console that creaks when cold outside? I'm going in next week and I will get them to look at both the hinges and the console.
