Sound from the parking brake area when you start the QX and begin to. drive it

Folks just been noticing this on my 2013 QX. When you start the car and put it in drive, right as it starts moving I hear a "thlunk" sound from the parking brake area. It is almost like an electromagnetic parking brake is getting disconnect as the vehicle is starting to move but that's obviously not it.

Does anyone else see this? I have 3700 miles on mine.

what you are probably hearing is the ABS system doing its self check.

should happen right around 6mph or so. gently rest your foot on the brake pedal as you are driving slow (dont press the brake, just gently put your foot there) and you will hear it.

on the armada/titan you hear a "ping" sound coming from the engine room.

see this short thread for reference.

On my 2011, I notice a slight sound similar to a brush rubbing something but nothing appears to be rubbing or loose. Could this also be the ABS? It happens once I start driving real slow 1 mph.

yes could be ABS, only happens once after initial startup.

you may also hear the sound if you beak on snow, sleet, or otherwise slick surfaces. if it is working pretty hard you will hear this groaning sound.
