smart entrance control unit (anti-theft alarm control unit)

Greetings,

I paid a high end shop to diagnose my I30 problem. They told me the problem is as I suspected, it's a faulty smart entrance control unit.
This part is no longer manufactured but I was able to find one at a recycler in Mass. Is it just a plug and play? How difficult is it to install?
Does anyone have installation instructions?
