Long story, but over the winter I replaced my battery. I noticed that when I open the door now, the seat and steering wheel retract when I exit the vehicle when it's been shut off...and the interior controls for the tailgate lift/close no longer works. However it operates fine from the key fob. I'm guessing I need to reset the computer? How do I go about that?

Thanks for any assistance!

pull the power from the battery for about a day -- easiest
$$$ -- get consult tool and laptop software. connect to the ecm and reset

you can just reset the windows by rolling up and down. there's a procedure if you search. the seats retracting is a feature you disable in the menu.

what model year do you have?

thats not the consult software (which costs hundreds of dollars and requires a license). that will reset things like the abs lamp, etc, and other faults.

simply removing the battery power for a day/overnight will reset the computer.

I did see a post about opening the tailgate and holding down the power button for 10 seconds to reset it. Might try that since it's the least involved thing. Otherwise, yup, I'll pull power from the battery.

Thanks for your help, marctronixx!!
