those cameras are not user serviceable. if there is indeed water corrosion in there, the camera is likely beyond repair, nor worth the hassle trying to clean it out, etc.
going OEM is the only way to get guaranteed plug and play plus the alignment of the colored directional guides.
if you JUST want a backup camera, you can get a licence polast camera or similar that tapes into the reverse wire to trigger. you then route the input into a rearview mirror monitor or similar...
there are a few aftermarket cameras for just this purpose but you will most likely lose factory functionality.
just keep checking salvage yards...
