The radio antenna on my wife's '99 I30 stopped working. It is currently in the up position and does not move when the radio is cycled off and on.

Is the antenna motor on a separate fuse, if so location ?

I am assuming that if I need to replace the motor assembly it would be removed from inside the trunk. Is this a fairly straight forward r&r?

I really haven't had to do much to her car......Just know that it's a lot different and harder to work on than my Dodge Cummins dually!!

It's easy to replace antenna, unscrew the round nut on the antenna itself using a pair of needle nose pliers end down in the two slots, then pull out the old antenna if the track chord is broke off go in the trunk and remove jack holder (2) 10mm nuts and remove then remove the nuts to antenna motor and pull it out and remove the round cover and pull out the old broken chord and reinstall cover and now reinstall motor and jack brkt, buy a new antenna , bought mine at pep boys, feed chord down turn radio on and feed chord as far as it will go and turn off radio and it should feed into motor if it doesn't jeopardize trying until it catches reinstall nut on car and your done it's easy
