I have a 2011 QX56. I recently had battery issues and had it towed to dealer. They adjusted a setting on the alternator and it's working so far.

Issue is now when the vehicle is in gear and the doors are unlocked it makes the outside series of beeps constantly, even while driving. If I pull up to a location and unlock the door for a passenger it starts beeping like I stole it and continues until I lock the doors.

I reset the power locks so that they automatically lock when you reach 15mph.
What else could be causing this issue? Very frustrating and embarrassing.
Thank you.

If you turn on the camera, does it show one of the parking sensors going off? If one of those sensors got knocked into the bumper, it could go off at weird times (or incessantly). It happened to my sister's EX35.

check for codes at the obd port. first place to look.

curious what was "adjusted" on the alternator?

sounds like the BCM is confused about something.

here try this..

put the park brake on just enough to make the brake lamp come on the combination meter. so one or two clicks. this will "alert" the BCM the brakes are "on".

then drive just a few feet. the bcm should beep to you that the brake is on.

also see if the outside beep occurs as well. that outside beep is to alert you the key fob is NOT in the car whilst the car is on.

may be a programming issue with the fob?

just a lot of what ifs when it comes to electrical things....

No codes showing

I don't know but I have not had issues with battery or alternator since

This works but this beep is inside the car, the offending beeps are outside

Agreed, just frustrating. I am ready to give up and go pay the dealer a small fortune. Thanks for your help!

not a bad idea bro. electrical stuff can take you down a long rabbit hole. sometimes its best to just pay the diag fee and get the idea of what the issues could be then come back here and tell the class... :D
