you know I find it interesting that the QX forum is so quiet, this is odd to me coming from the Dodge Forums where we have a ton of new threads going on all the time. I wonder if it's just that fewer people have them, or less to talk about.

So I thought I'd share, if you're looking for a easy quick to use wax, I brought this one over from the dodge forums, it's a really good spray wax that is very easy to use, I have a black QX so it's almost impossible to keep clean on the outside..

Anyone have anything they really like for the inside? I've noticed the QX has a bit of a different leather and seems to leave white chalk from your hands on the doors etc., drives me crazy :o

Probabaly fewer people have them. I am on many other forums and yes this one isn't the most popular! Not a very popular vehicle, with most people opting for Suburbans and Escalades here in Long Island N.Y. We just bought a White 2011 QX and are trading in an '06 White with 45,000 miles that is immaculate! Supposed to have it on Thurs. or Fri. Hope the new one is a good as the old one was. It will sit outside keeping my 2010 Tahoe, my son's 2005 GTO and 2010 Grand Cherokee company because my 2007 Supercharged C6 Corvette stays in my climate controlled garage!

My thoughts exactly. Not a whole lot of posts, unlike many of the other car forums. It's probably a good thing, meaning less problems with the vehicle. It also probably has to do with limited options for after market add-ons and upgrades, being so new.
So far, so good with ours at just over 2,000 miles. Let's hope it stays this way. I finally see some improvement in gas mileage, after about 1500 miles. My last few tanks put out around 16 MPG, city and highway combined. We switched from Mercedes SUVs and we are absolutely loving the '11 QX56!

You know I've not looked at my mileage in a while, right after getting the QX we've done two substantial vacations one from Chicago --> Smokey Mountains, TN and the other from Chicago --> Wisconsin Dells, WI. Both of these are with towing my 5500lbs 30' TT, the gas mileage was about 10-12MPG, which was about what my truck got. What I did find funny is how many people asked me how in the world that SUV could two that trailer - LOL - the funny thing is it tows more than my old Dodge Ram!

We exist LOL. I have had my 2011 for over 1 year now. Currently 22k on the Odo and pulling strong.;)

Anyone find a chrome exhaust tip that will fit the QX? I'm in SoCal so we like the bling:D.

I had an Audi prior to the QX... those boards on QuattroWorld are non-stop with fun stories, friendships and help guides.

I think this forum is slow/quiet, because the truck is rare, the people aren't the types to fix their own mechanical issues, since we tend to be a little older and privileged to a certain extend than those coming from Dodge/Honda/Kia... those guys don't mind getting grease under their fingernails. I don't mind either, but you don't have too with the truck being as reliable as it is, and the dealer standing behind you to make certain its living upto to a higher standard.

Toyota 4Runner forum is also a blast to visit. I've found so many modification ideas on that website to keep me busy for months. I enjoy working on my cars and I don't like dealers touching my cars:D. I just did my first oil change on the QX-very easy. The Infinitis are easy to work on compared to German cars like Mercedes and bimmers. I don't care to own another Mercedes for the rest of my life, but the wife thinks otherwise:rolleyes:. The best part about the QX is that I haven't had to take it back to the dealer for warranty work! Let's hope it stays this way.

yeah.. my wife's ML500 was always in the shop for something. What a POS it was. not to mention it needed 4 tires every freckn 15k-18k miles. funny thing she either wants another one or a range rover.... another POS truck.

the chicks just think the MB or rover are " pretty trucks", they don't care if it's reliable or not, they just wanna look good in it (as if that makes them better looking or something... NOT). Thank goodness I'm a stud, otherwise I'd have to buy a Porsche to get the girls to look at me :P

I don't care who you are.... that's funny! I just want a Porche so that I can look at myself in it:D.
Seriously though, women (and alot of insecure dudes too) like the badge and the status especially in SoCal. I'll take relibility and quality anyday. I don't mind paying $$$ but it has to be a quality product. Lately, MBs have been nothing more than pigs with lipsticks, IMHO. The tires on our ML, R, and GLs all wore out around 20k miles and they were all driven like a granny by my wife. Thank God I dumped the POS's!
