Anyone powder coated the factory 22" rims to a darker shade? If so what are your thoughts on the process. Also anyone has any pics?

^ my wheels in black chrome PVD. I know some places can do black chrome in powdercoat but they have to be really good and the durability is no where near as good as pvd.

Hey razorecko. Looks like you have a white qx as well. Can you post pics of your ride with the black pvd rims pls.

where did you get this done? how much did it cost? how long were you without the wheels? details please!

I had www.calchrome.com do it. They did several sets of rims for me before and are really professsional. The coating is called " Black Chrome PVD " It takes about 3-4 weeks of total downtime so its best if you have a spare set of rims to send in... The cost after shipping and packing was like $ 1150.00, which considering the price of decent 22" rims is a bargain imho.

they do look pretty amazing. I cant justify the cost and i dont have any spare spares :D. please post a photo when you have them on.

Yea I will def post a photo. The coating itself is tougher than any oem coating. And when it gets dirty/coated in brake dust than it just looks almost flat black
