Ugh so frustrated that my chrome trim around driver side back window is coming off!! I took it in and of course warranty does not cover it and then to top it off they tell me that it has to go to the body shop because the whole window has to be removed to put it back into place.

LOL.. Exactly!! I even bought the extended warranty when I bought it because they said I would be covered bumper to bumper for 120,000 miles. I will take a picture and post it. Having it cleaned up right now. I just can't get over the fact that the window has to be removed.

It is true that the chrome trim and rubber moulding is part of the rear side windows. Out brand new QX got shot with a pellet gun just below the window so they had to remove it for the body work and paint. It took them two tries to get the rubber moulding to go back in correctly with the window and trim.

It is true this is not a covered item via the Infiniti Elite Warranty. If you have a good working relationship with the dealer, meaning you service with them regularly, it can be covered via Goodwill warranty. Did you buy the truck from the dealer? Do you perform your regular service with the dealer? If so, talk to the service manager, he may be willing to help. I would.

My dealer fixed the weather stripping along the rear driver door that kept coming unglued.. no charge during my last visit.

rear driver door. i had this same issue because instead of putting my fingerprints on the rear driver door when closing it, i would grab the door where the rubber stripping was, and eventually i would pull the bottom part of it out.

i dont think there is any glue there (there isnt on my 2012). it just "fits" into a weird part alongside the frame. its funky but you can get it back if you take time.
