New to the forum and just wanted to thank all of you who posted about your buying experiences. It was incredibly helpful being able to walk into a dealership knowing not only what you wanted, but what others had paid for it. Since knowledge is power, I thought I would post the particulars of my transaction so that the next potential buyer may be as well informed as I was:

2012 Mountain Sage QX56 4X2
Second Row Buckets
Deluxe Touring Package
Tech Package
Theatre Package
Roof Rail Crossbars
Rear Bumper Protection
Cargo Mat, Cargo Net & First Aid kit
Illuminated Kick Plates
Tire and Wheel Package

MSRP 73,220 ($990. Dest charges included)

I paid 67,220. Truck had more than I wanted, but trying to find a Mountain Sage QX with the Deluxe Touring package was a difficult task. Passed on all of the post-purchase extras with the exception of the Tire & Wheel coverage and only went with that because it covers curb rash. Truck has been an absolute pleasure to drive the few times that I've driven it, more importantly, my wife absolutley loves it. After looking at all available options in this vehicle class, there is nothing on the market that compares to this rig, imho.

one of the best things is the body motion control system. this thing alone is worth the cost! i come from nearly 6 years of armada driving (2006 and 2008) and this system is just amazing! by it being all mechanical in nature and not driven by a computer is fascinating to me. old school mechanical tech.

thank you for posting...

You're welcome Marc. I agree that the body motion control system is a great feature. Having cone from a long line of GM SUVs over the last 20yrs and currently in a 2011 F-150, the difference in ride and especially body roll is something that you have to experience in order to really appreciate. I will say that I do think that the Infinity dealers over-promise as to what the system can do which leads to some of the disappointment with the system that some have mentioned. We have a very bouncy section of bridge on the highway that leads to our house, whch we were told we would barely notice. My wife and I both rolled our eyes as we knew that wouldn't be the case and we were right. That in no way makes the system any less impressive, it just opens up the door for unwarranted criticism of a very effective feature.

I bought the truck at Atlantic Infiniti in Jacksonville, Fl. My deal was 100% a function of what I learned here and my willingess to find a dealer that would accomodate that price. I'm sure you'll have the same success with whomever you decide to buy from.

Please reply with your sales persons name and if you have it an email address. I'd like to find someone who can get right to the point ; )

thanks!
Chris
