P0524, P0011, P0300 Codes

The check engine light just came on and all of these codes popped. The truck is running very rough. The truck had the timing chain recall done about 2,000 miles ago. I am thinking these codes might be related.

P0524- Powertrain Engine Oil Pressure Too Low
P0011 – “A” Camshaft Position – Timing Over-Advanced or System Performance (Bank 1)
P0300- diagnostic code indicates a random or multiple misfire.

Based on some research it appears to be a bad or dirty SOLENOID VALVE ASSY-VALVE TIMING CONTROL, Part Number: 23796-JK24B. I called the dealership and I am going to have it towed in.

good idea. driving it may be dangerous.

on the surface sounds like the tech was rushing/not paying attention. warranty work they dont usually like to do because it doesn't pay much, and this is easily a couple days work per car...

VVT( Variable Valve Timing Control Solenoid- Bank 1 / Driver Side replaced) Tech said it was sticking open and not closing. The service advisor said the dealership was picking up the 2.5 hours of labor and I only had to pay for the part and synthetic oil change. $252 all in and they gave me a loaner car for 3 days.
