P008A Low Fuel Pressure - 2011 QX56 with 190K miles blowing fuses

other day I went to crank my QX56 and it wouldn't start... it was turning over but it wouldn't start. I checked the codes and it was throwing a P008A Low Fuel Pressure code. I pulled the 15Amp fuse and it was blown. I replaced it and tried to crank it again, blew a 2nd time. Long story short the fuel pump is bad and getting it replaced for $1000.

This is my 3rd Nissan car with around 200K and 3rd fuel pump to replace but that is ok as I will be fine now for another 200K miles.

A worn or failing fuel pump won't trip the fuse; more so a short somewhere in the electrical harness.

True but the mechanic checked all that and said the short was coming from the fuel pump. I now have a new fuel pump and all is well.
