I have a 2001 infiniti i30, 3.0 liter. It had a ses light come on and the code was the o2 sensor bank 1 sensor 2. However my car runs like crap now. Furthermore whenever i accelerate it acts normal but right as it gets to around 3500 rpm it craps out and almost seems as if its not getting enough gas. The rpms will still go up but slowly. Is the o2 sensor causing this problem? Thanks, sam

oxygen sensor problem

I had the same thing. My homeboy is a mechanic and ran computer scan and pulled O2 sensor for months. Finally, the over-drive light started blinking when I started it up. Try and have someone check the transmission solenoids. My solenoid 2 was out causing my car to bog at stops and wouldn't upshift at times. Infiniti has a work memo on it to replace Valve body assembly (parts $550) and if the 1st to 2nd upshift isn't fixed, they recommend swapping TCM Transmission Control Module (parts $600 something). You can try to get a transmission shop to do it but all the ones I went to said the mileage was too high and they wouldonly rebuild the whole frickin thing $2400!!!
