Oil Service Reminder...won't reset:

Wife took our ’12 QX in for oil service a week or two ago.

Both oil service reminders (one that comes up in the Odometer LCD and the other in the Center Nav display) seem to refuse to be reset.

I’ve attempted to reset from within the infotainment and also using the Trip Reset buttons within the Odo’s LCD. The latter with just ignition turned on (not the engine).

And seems my searches either point to any year prior to mine (2004 thru 2010 here): http://www.reset-service.com/oil-reset-light/service-oil-reset-infiniti-qx56 or reference steps to reset the Nissan Armada.

Any ideas here?

I recall one prior vehicle of ours that had a reset button under the hood on the backside of the dashboard. Hard to see and/or reach but that’d be swell right about now. Getting very tired of cancelling out of these reminders and I only the drive the thing on weekends 

Should be able to reset both fairly easy...that's strange that you can't get them to reset. If you had it done at the dealer take it back and have them do it.

the in dash reminders are reset different from the instrument cluster.

the how to should be in the operators manual i think?

you go into the settings of the instrument cluster and then go to "maintenance", then form there you see oil, filter, tire, and "other". you reset there.
