Odd.. took 3 pushes of the Start-button to start the Beast

Yesterday, when I was leaving the store (I was only in there about 5 mins...so engine was still plenty warmed up)... I press the button , the Beast tries to start (engine was turning over), but no start-up.. pressed Start again, rollover but again no start-up.. pressed it a third time.. and this time the Beast fires up.... odd, never happened before!! Full tank of gas, engine already warm from driving there...

any ideas?
 
I have a feeling all these issues are related some how...like you have a module failing somewhere. I've never experienced that but it sound like you either didn't have fuel or a spark..im not sure how all this is related but I believe it is some how.
 
just a glitch bro. computers freak out sometimes. i chalk it up to a random glitch.

you are welcome to plug up to the OBD port and see if there are any DTC's but i think you just experienced something rare...
 
I doubt you have any codes like Marc said....but if you are still under your warranty id let your dealer know...

yup... still under warranty. I'll have them double check the next time I'm in.

Also... yesterday, it was cold here, single digits (positive)... the darn fuel gauge was stuck on E and crepped up slowly over 30mins to less than half a tank, though I probably had 3/4 officially in the tank... I got the (!) warning for low fuel, but was reading 246 to empty (LOL) .... Later in the day, the gauge seemed to have returned to normal, and this morning, while cold, still read properly.
 
Hmmm....roughyear...you have a lot going on...whatever became of the rushing water sound?
 
That water sound is still there... now hearing it on acceleration... as long as the foot wells are dry, I'm ok until my next oil change/service call. Don't really have the time to rush to dealer at the moment. ... hopefully it's just air in the system.. I have plenty of heat, so most likely not the heater coil.
 
I hope so too...keep us posted...I guess it good that I live about 5 mins away from my dealer as much as I've had to visit them...lol

Nah...I don't think it was a glitch. Roughyear...let me see you set out side in single digit weather for a period of time and see how your body responds :) . Electronics are the same way, even if your gas has water in it this is going to cause you problems. If it is the latter the fuel will actually start to freeze and be like an icie. Your fuel pump will have a hard time pumping it up to the block and through the fuel rails. My suggestion would be to put some heat in your tank to reduce any potential water in your tank.

Question when it cranks over and doesn't start, do you have the headlights on or off?

Lights are set on AUTO... so when it's struggling to turn over, I turn OFF the lights.
 
Light don't come on until after mine is pretty much running...so that shouldn't cause any problems...
