Nissan dealership for recalls

Hello all I just purchased a 2012 Infiniti QX56. I got the price talked down based on the possibility of the cats needing to be done. Engine is throwing a bank 1 catalytic converter inefficiency code. I have read some people have been able to get this fixed for free at Infiniti dealers. My nearest dealer is an hour away I was wondering if a Nissan dealership would honor the recall? Any help would be great thank you.

what did the local dealer that's an hour away say when you called them?

also, what is the mileage? id reckon beyond a certain mileage you will be out of luck.

I have not called yet I suppose I should have started there. 115k miles
