My i30 won't start and i don't know why.. never had problems before

My infiniti i30 won't start never had a problem before but went outside yesterday and it didn't start. It tries to start but it won't turn all the way over and catch if by chance you could help me it would be greatly appriciated.

P.s. The batttery also looses power in the midst of trying to start it.

I've sent it to a shop and they checked the theft system and supposedly the starter and alternator.

Help help help!!!

You need 3 things for any car to start; spark, fuel, and compression. I would start by checking for spark at the plug. If that is good, check fuel pressure. If that is good, check for pulsation at the injectors, and if that is good, run a compression test. Once you know which of the 3 you don't have, post back and I can guide you better from there.

if the battery isnt weak, it's likely the starter.
