My 1996 Infiniti I30 wont start, it makes this "clicking" noise, anyone know

whats the problem? I have a 1996 Infiniti I30. It wont start whenever i put the key in and try to start it, it makes this "clicking" noise. I think the battery is fine, the radio works and i even tried "jumper cables" still it didnt start. doesn anyone what could be the problem. thanks

it does sound like ur battery cable and like others said it can still not work with a jump. i had a durango and it would keep cutting off. it was the alternator

Perhaps it's your starter or alternator. Have it towed to a garage where it can be analyzed.

I had the same problem. After a few minutes of trying to get it to start it started and i drove it to autozone. Tried starting it again once at autozone and it would not start. A man that I knew that worked there opened the hood and hit my starter a few times with a wrench and it started. so it was my starter. autozone can test ur starter, battery, or alternator for free. got a new starter for 150 and problem is solved!
