Just returned from our 14 hour road trip each way for Christmas. Hand calculated mileage at each fill up and averaged 17.2 for the trip. Was gone for a week so there is some city driving mixed into those numbers. 3 tanks each way. 2 tanks there. On the trip I had my cruise set at 80. High winds. Mostly headwinds going down I also reset mpg on dash prior to trip. It now reads 16.4 after a few days of driving around in the snow here. It got as high as 17 at one point so it's very accurate in my opinion.
Best we ever got out of our Tahoe in 2wd was 16. When switched to awd it dropped significantly to around 11-12. Plus we now have 100 more Hp!!
Like others have said it was an absolute pleasure to drive. Hard to truly appreciate this vehicle until you take it on a road trip.
Happy New Year!!!

Keep us posted!!

well you were right. It was an absolute dream on the highway. The ride was smooth and controlled. I set the cruise at 80 and off we went. My calculations came to 18-19 MPG which is awesome. I have a Gibson cat back and a K&N drop in. We packed in 3 adults and 2 kids and the rear completely full of luggage and softball gear:D. If I only had the NAV playing DVDs I would have been set

Is the Gibson noticeably louder? I've considered an aftermarket exhaust just don't want any more report from the exhaust. I think I will try the k&n filter as well. I've had them on every vehicle I've owned. Only the Tahoe didn't increase mpg.
Glad you enjoyed the trip and the qx. As soon as it warms up I'm going to do the $60 adjustment so the DVD plays while driving. I'm more interested in the other features currently locked out like the nav, Bluetooth and phone operations. Embarrassed to say we haven't had a DVD in it since the night we brought it home. No kids and our black lab isn't a fan of tv. He likes the window views. Lol.

Constant average with my Tahoe LTZ 4wd has always been 14.7. Same driving I do with this vehicle is around 15.2. I am very happy. I will be taking it on a roadtrip the end of March so oI'm curious to see highway miles.

judge for yourself. http://infinitiforum.net/infiniti-forum/showpost.php?p=30443&postcount=2 I made a thread about the swap. It is a touch louder, but it doesn't drone at highway RPMs. Overall I have only noticed an increased noise when I have stepped on it, but i did all that on purpose. :D With two young kids the DVD is on 50% of the time.

Just finished a 700 mile round trip this past weekend. Drove up from sea level to 8000 feet in the mountains and back. The way up I got 18 and the way back 22. Avg speed was 72mph, so there were some sections in there where I was 80-90mph as well as a few towns passing through at 30mph.

I am pretty happy with the hwy mileage, I just wished the tank was bigger or city mileage was better so on my day to day I filled up less often.
