1999 infiniti i30 no. 3 cylinder is pumping so much fuel it almost stops the engine from turning over while trying to start it.so i pulled the coil and spark plug and tryed to start it .it will start but runs really bad and it blows fuel out the spark plug hole and when i try to turn it off it keeps running even though the key is off.it will shut off after about a min .im at a loss i just dont get it. sorry i dont have any codes for you yet will try to get them tomarrow.
 
I currently have the same issue on #4.....will bad coil cause this much fuel to exit the exhaust? Do injectors fail OPEN?
 
after i tore it apart i found that my no.4 injector had failed the pintel cap was missing and fuel was filling up my cylinder and exhaust system with raw fuel. a bomb waiting to go off.so i replaced the bad injector and unplugged all my coils so i didnt get any spark. so then i pulled the front OS off and stuck a water hose in it and flushed out my exhaust until i didnt smell fuel in the water turned it over a few times in the process to help blow out the system .once i felt it was fairly safe to start the engine i reinstalled the OS and started the car and it run great it threw os codes for a day or so but those cleared up and i did not have to replace any of the OS sensors . lucky there i was the only codes im getting now is vss and knock sensor. im hoping the vss code is because my instrument panel is bad .i hit a bump in the road and all my gauges stop working itap on panel and they start working again so im sure it is bad .and as far as my knock i dont know for sure i put a new 1 on and it is still giving me the bad code still. hope this is helpful so someone . VERY IMPORTANT if you have fuel spitting out exhaust DO NOT RUN YOUR ENGINE YOU HAVE A BOMB WAITING TO GO OFF. this is what i beleave

what i found out was that no.3 cylinder fuel injectors pintel cap was missing so fuel was pumping into the cylinder and the complete exhaust system was full of fuel a BOMB waiting to go off. so i replaced the injector and fefore i started the engine i pulled the front o2 senor and stuck my water hose into it and flushed all the fuel out of the exhaust until i didnt smell gas in the water then i reinstalled the o2 sensor and turned the engine over a few times with the coil packs disconnected to help push the water thru the exhaust system with out making any sparks or engine running .once that was done and i felt it was safe to run i started it up and it ran great. it threw o2 codes for about a day but then that went away so i did not have to replace any o2 senors the only codes i have now are vss code and knock .i have to replace my instrument panel and i am not sure of why the knock sensor i replaced it with a new 1 and still getting code for it. 1999 infiniti i30 3.0 v6
