Thought I would share turned in my 2010 QX lease on a loaded 2013. This was a mid-year unit which my dealer got yesterday. It has two options which are new for mid-year both remote start and Infiniti Personal Assistant. The remote start is a button on the fob, just like on our JX.

Excellent! Can you tell us how the Infiniti Personal Assistant is integrated into the car? Are they able to send driving directions to your navigation system?

Well right now I have to call Infiniti PA because setting up the connection portion doesn't work. They cannot find my VIN. My guess is the back end system is not ready for the QX yet..

Pricing change

I saw elsewhere that the mid-years might be getting a price change - did you see any difference?

Any idea what this might do to prices on existing 2013's?

I'm not exactly sure since mine was a lease we didn't get into the 'sticker price', it lists for $76K and has everything but the tech package. I was able to negotiate a $.75/mo increase in my lease payment from my 2011 that I turned in. The 2011 had only the theater pkg. So they seemed like they were willing to deal.

Is the mid year package retro installable to earlier 2013's?

That really blows. The pre-mid year 2013's are forever relegated to pariah status with this mid-year update.
How important is this update? Is there a full list of changes being made?
Where can I find out more about this telematics features?

you should simply be able to go to infinitis website and look and build a car or perhaps they have those functions listed on the promo page of the site.

you could also download the 2013 operators manual.

the only thing i miss is the dim outside mirrors.

the backup collision is a second wish

the dvd display is not really that big of a deal. its a nice GUI for sure, but the same functions are on the remote.

the infiniti helper thingy , for me, is not something i would use. i am connected in the car via cellular and i have wifi avail to me from my handset to service my tablet, so i am always able to get what i need.

of course others see more benefits in other features than some, so YMMV.

The ability to send a route to the car from Google maps is a nice little feature.
I checked with the dealer. No retro install available on older 2013's. He did offer to sell me a brand new one!

true, but if you have google maps on your phone, using BT you can get the gps voice over your car system all while having the map on your handset. sometimes i have quickly looked for a store, etc. and once i find it on the phone or my tablet, i "get directions" which open up google navi on the phone (or tab). the voice gets streamed to the car (i use my android phone to stream my music 95% of the time) and its as if I am using the on board navi.

here is my tab setup. what you see there is the engine stats using a BT'ed OBD dongle and an android app. but at the flick of a finger i have access to any and everything more so than any automaker's personal assistant. ;)

my workaround and it may not be practical for you but works for me! :)
