M35x Interior Trim

Anyone ever tried to remove only the interior trim pieces from the door, dash, etc...and not the entire door panel? I wanted to wrap the wood grain interior with a carbon fiber vinyl but haven't been able to find a way to only remove those pieces and not the entire door panel.
