Just bought 2012 QX56 - Odd vibration in steering.

Love this car. Large, comfortable, everything works. One small issue. It has a very slight vibration in the steering wheel. Darn near undetectable and more like a "hum" that a real vibration. Of course this being a new to us car, we're concerned. I figured this would be a great place to ask the question, am I nuts or is this a real thing and is it normal? Car has 165K miles.

thats something difficult to diagnose over the internet as you would need to "feel" or "see" the issue. i can tell you the car should not do that.

maybe look at the tires, wheel hubs, suspension components. could be out of alignment, etc.

Thanks for your answer. I was thinking tires out of balance slightly. And you’re 100% right about diagnosing over the web. “Doctor, it hurts when I do this…”

Next week I will bring it to a trusted tech and let him go through the car.
