Occasionally, I climb into the truck and the iphone 5 bluetooth streaming works right away, no problems.
But, the majority of times, I get a message that says "the conected iPhone cannot work with this device", or something like that.
I've been trying to troubleshoot this, but the problem seems a bit complex. Usually, if you open your phone and unlock it PRIOR to getting in your vehicle, I think that works best. I had to change my phone lock from 2 minutes to 5 minutes to give me more time. If that doesnt work, than if deactivate, then reactivate bluetooth on the phone, that works too.
WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT DELETE YOUR PHONE FROM THE CARS LIST IF YOU HAVE ALREADY STORED QUICK DIALS, OR YOU WILL LOSE THEM COMPLETELY AND WITHOUT WARNING.
I have an iphone 5 and downloaded the new OS last weekend. Since then, voice commands in my G37x are no longer recognized. I called the bluetooth support line today. The rep told me they have been flooded with these calls since the new OS was released. Evidently there are all sorts of issues, not just the voice command one I've experienced, which worked amazingly well prior to the new OS. He said that since the Nissan engineers have no opportunity to work out the bugs prior to Apple's general release, all we can do is wait. Has anyone thought about reverting to ios6? If so, and it helped your problems, can you please explain how to do that?
I have noticed that using BT now on my iPad with iOS7 causes the stereo to play only on one side (like the balance is shifted to the right). I double checked my settings and when I revert to FM it plays normally.
Just updated to ios7 last night. Purposely held off after hearing so many horror stories...
Used it today and did notice some background static while I was leaving a voicemail for someone using BT. Haven't tried to BT audio stream or usb yet. Will have to try that tonight and report back.
Occasionally, you will get in the vehicle and receive a message that the iphone cannot be used with this device (device most likely being the BT adapter in the SUV).
The procedure that I do that works very well is to go into phone, turn off BT. You will then get a message on the BT audio the "iphone is disconnecting." This wont go away, even after you re-start the BT on the phone. So, just cycle back through to BT audio on the console (through the usb---->dvd---->bt audio ) and that will get you back on track (scuse the pun). Luckily, this doesnt happen very often. I'm still trying to figure what DOES cause this issue. I think it has something to do with the phone either being locked or something else). When it DOES work, it works like a charm.
