Anyone install an "in motion satellite" system in their Q? They are pretty pricey but I found a guy that has Tracvision A7 system that is functioning and complete for 800.00. Be good for the kids to watch their shows and for me to watch a football game or two. Thoughts?

TIA

Sisu;

Will you connect it to the monitors in the headrests of the car seats?
What are you getting for that price?

the module likely has bandpass (rca) output so you can connect to the input on the theater system.

It does have the RCA outs. The newest A9 model is in HD but I can't justify the 3-4 grand for that.
Found another guy that has an A5 model for 350.00. Both A5 and A7 are SD signals so trying to decide on the newer and more expensive A7 or the older but well priced A5.

the monitors built into the headrests are not going to care if you feed them an HD or SD input. with those small monitors and the resolution that those monitors have, you will not see a real difference to justify that bigger investment.

i would not spend the extra dough for HD IF you are seriously looking to invest in it. SD will be fine. the DVDs you use in the car are MPEG2 and the resolution there is limited.

Bought the A5 for 250.00. Outputs SD signal. Need to get the RF cable and the RF remote converter. Now I need to find a shop to put it in and hide it all. I could do it but drilling through the roof and tearing apart the dash makes me a little leery.
