Here goes on the way back from Columbus OH to Columbia SC about half way there my 1996 I30 with 180,ooo auto on it developed a miss I told the wife to keep going couldnt fix it beside the road well it made it home , next morning I pulled the front bank coil cover off and noticed a large amount of oil so I thought valve cover gasket oil in plug holes foouled plug so I started pulling coils drivers side fron left coil no exstension to the plug (you know the long plastic thing that goes from the coil to the plug)just the coil beat up and the plug with the top metal piece of the plug broke off well the plug had apparently pulled out of the head stripped all the threads and beat the plastic piece to powder and sent it threw the engine now I'm thinking I.m screwed well in for a penny in for a pound got a new plug a new coil and a helley coil kit threaded the plug hole in the head and screwed the helley coil onto the plug put it in tightened down and checked the rest of the plugs 3 out 5 were lose tightened them up put every thing back together and fired her up ran a little rough for a few minutes then smoothed out and has been running fine how luckey am I and how long do you think it will hold together
