How come when I hit the RECIRC button that AC comes on?? You know when u drive by the sewage treatment plant, a diesel truck or dead carcase u don't want that "no so fresh" smell into the cabin. Everytime I hit recycle the AC light comes on.. This never happened before, but now happens each and every time; no matter the temp setting of 60 or 85

The A/C has a dehumidifier built in to keep the windows from fogging up. It's a common feature of most newer cars with climate control.

this has always been the behavior of the Qx. if you have the ACCS system this turns on to activate the plasmacluster system to quickly clean the air in the cabin of any odors.
by the by, i had Fatz diaper changed on Saturday (my funny and silly way of saying my car had oil change
) and I had the tech adjust the auto odor sensing system to go to recir more often as sometimes when i smell certain exhaust odors the system doe not catch them. i had him adjust to +1 using the consult so we will see if this helps tomorrow on the 101

It's too bad the auto-recirc does not work below zero (celcius) temps. I love that feature, but up here there are a lot of diesel trucks driving around and they stink. lol
