High pressure fuel pump

Anyone know if the high pressure fuel pump will pump gas into the crank case if it fails ?

The high pressure pump will still function in a very non-efficient manner, with a huge loss in power. These high pressure fuel pumps are cam driven, with a lifter that sits between the pump and camshaft lobe. Are you getting a DTC for the high pressure fuel pump?
