Hardware size for Roof Rack Crossbars

So multiple local dealers have said I can only get the crossbar hardware in a crossbar kit. The kit is $300+. Does anyone have size and dimensions that secure the crossbars to the side rails on a 2011 QX56? The guy laughed at me when I said it was dumb to sell only as a kit. What happens if you break a bolt? You pay $300 for a kit to get one bolt out?

Did they have the kit in stock? If so I would ask if you could see it so you could measure the bolts. I don't think that is too much to ask. If they are unwilling to sell the bolts at their ridiculous markup alone then the least they can do is let you figure out how to match them up. If they refuse have one of the service guys remove one from one of the vehicles they are working on for you. Money talks.

I have only called thus far. But multiple places state the same thing. I am almost ready to buy a kit and resell the ones we bought on Ebay. I wonder if they use a similar bolt on the Armada or JX's...

Where do you get your car serviced? I would call them and politely ask for the information. If they refuse I would remind them you can take your maintenance business elsewhere. That is where the money is made for car dealerships. Again $ talks. It is not an obscene request. Asking a customer to buy $300 work of materials he doesn't need for four bolts is.
If they still refuse let me know and I will call my dealer and find out for you. Before I do that I'm going to need the dealerships you have called and who you spoke with as I will report them and their refusal to provide the so called Infiniti experience they are so proud of and promote so heavily.

Of course you would but in the OP's case he never had hardware to begin with and was just stating how absurd it is that Infiniti only sells this as a sealed kit vs individual parts.
That is essentially what he is asking for so he can go to the hardware store and find a match.

Exactly. I am going to start looking at Armadas. May be able to find one in a junk yard.
