Front License Plate Bracket Mounting

Howdy folks. I have a question about mounting the front license bracket. We bought this QX56 that came from a state that did not require a front license plate, and therefore there is no license plate bracket on the front bumper. I have bought the OEM bracket from the Infiniti dealer, and see that holes need to be drilled in the lower bumper to mount it. The bracket itself has holes for the screws of course, but it also has two "alignment pegs" that keep the bracket from setting flush on the bumper, as if there should be another two holes in the bumper to accommodate the two pegs. I could of course clip off the two pegs so it sits flush and just use the two screws, but I guess my question is, have any of you had to attach this OEM bracket, and how you did it. I hate the idea of putting holes in the bumper as it is, just don't want to add two more. Its hard to find pics of any QX56's with the holes drilled, and the bracket removed so I could see the holes made. Any suggestions? Thanks! TB
