Just noticed today that my front fog/driving lights on lower part of front bumper were both broke/cracked. It looks as if it was hit by a sharp object. Could a rock on highway of hit the lights? Imagine the odds of something hitting both lights???? Nothing around chrome ring or immediate area is scraped or dinged up. Also thought maybe someone did it but the car is garaged????? Do you think i could get Infinity to cover under warranty? bTW, lights still work

are the LAMPs broken or the clear lense? on both of them?

its possible the heat of the lamps cracked them. i have super bright LEDs in there (i changed all of my lamps in the car to LEDs) and they dont produce a lot of heat.

a photograph is worth a thousand words here!

depends on the dealer if they will replace them. a short call will clear that up, no?

otherwise, look to fleabay or online parts stores to get replacements.

What were the bulb numbers you used and what is the wattage? There is a lot of crap (and cheap) LED's out there that state super bright or whatever only to get them on and they hardly light up...

For me, the fogs are my DRL's so I want something that will be BRIGHT...

How easy was it to access the housings? I can see two flaps on either side of the underneath front bumper. Did you need to remove those or at least partially remove them?

Only the lens are broke. Lights still work, also the bulbs are.factory..never been changed...so wierd!

^ This. Or vandalism. Not a defect.

parrott

I tend to agree with Parrot .. I too was a victim of vandalism in a grocery store parking lot. Was parked out front .. very close to the front doors. Upon returning to my vehicle (2011 QX56) I noticed circular scratches in a pattern of about 10 inches in diameter.

I was lucky an auto body shop was successful and able to use some compound and buffed them out. I checked their work afterwards in the direct sun and in the shade (from different angles) and one cannot tell the scratches were even there. On a personal note, the body shop did not even charge and they are a big name-brand shop. Cudos to their excellent customer service.
