Hi
I've had a 2011 QX for a little over two years, and have had no issues.
The other day I get in the vehicle with the fob in a bag sitting on the passenger seat, as I often do when I go to work. I put my foot on the brake, press the start button and nothing happens. Vehicle says there's no key present. I hold the fob right over the start button, still not recognized. I get out lock the doors, unlock the doors with the fob and try again. Nothing.
Fortunately I'm at home and get the other fob. It works fine. I go to work and on a break test the fob battery from quite some distance by locking and unlocking the car. No problem. I go to the truck with only the 'bad' fob and everything works perfectly.
I'm now scared to go anywhere without that secong fob. Battery was the first thought I had, but it can do things from a distance still. Anyone had this intermittant fob issue before? Any suggestions?
Thanks
Peter
