I recently acquired a 2004 i35 with a remote starter. Not sure if it was dealer installed but the 4 button fob has "ATV" inside a circle with a large figure 1 behind it, and the words "The First Rule of Security". The starter has worked fine any time I have tried it, but for the past few nights after parking the car I have noticed a small blue light flashing from the starter antenna up behind the rear view mirror. Through trial and error I have figured out how to turn this light off. I simply press the unlock button on the starter remote, and then lock the car with the regular Infiniti fob (i.e. the one without the starter). My problem is how to stop the flashing light coming on in the first place. I thought maybe it was because I unlocked with the regular fob and then locked with the starter fob, but yesterday I left the starter fob at home and just used the Infiniti fob, but once again the blue flashing light came on at night. It might possibly be on during the day too but I only see it at night as it is a very small bulb. Anyone have any ideas? It's driving me nuts.
