Few Questions I couldn't find in my manual

The auto recirc button doesn't just turn on when I hit the button. It turned on the other day when i was in the garage but shouldn't it work everytime if I hit the button?

and is that auto recirc the setting that will recirculate inside the vehicle if it detects gas smells?

also.....


Do the headlights turn with the vehicle? Just wondering since they move up and down.

Headlights move up and down? Sure you are not confusing this with your Corvette?

There is an "Auto" setting on the stalk for the headlights. You can also adjust the sensitivity of it. It's also tied into the wipers. If you have it on auto, and turn the wipers on, the lights also come on.

If you have the Technology Pkg it includes adaptive front lighting system (AFS) with auto leveling headlights. The headlights turn before the QX does. The deluxe touring pkg includes the advanced climate control system (ACCS). I'm not sure if you are referring to that?

ASsuming you have the tech pak:

the headlights auto adjust on height based on weight in the car. they are constantly adjusting.

the headlights move when the steering wheel is turned. this is automatic.

if you have the advanced climate system with the plasmacluster ion technology, it will go to recirc when it detects certain odors. if you feel the system is not sensitive enough or is too sensitive, you can go into the dealer and have them adjust the sensor. there are two levels more sensitive and two levels less sensitive that can be adjusted by the tech using the Consult. i had the system in the car i drive adjusted +1 above normal to be more sensitive.

also when you turn on the AC and its in auto, the recirc system runs for 5 minutes to quickly clean the air, then it shuts off and goes to fresh air mode (draws air from outside).

also, the system remembers the settings as they are based on the FOB used. if you have your fob and your wife, say, has hers, the system remembers the settings based on which fob is used to start the car. so whatever settings you have the car in when you shut it off, they will be there when you start the car, assuming you have the same fob. make sense?

Excellent, thanks. Do my headlights auto adjust because I have a dial near my left knee to adjust them for up and down. Threw me for a loop when I first got the truck because the headlights were too low and I thought it was an aiming issue. Looked in the manual and turned the dial to zero and headlights moved up. Pretty cool feature.

I wasn't sure about the touring package but ended up buying it hearing how it would be good for long trips which we plan on taking looking at colleges for my twin boys. I have to say it is by far my favorite feature. The auto leveling in turns is amazing. Best feature ever! Offramps are smooth as hell. Best money spent.

if you have the dial by the knee you dont have auto aiming. you must have a 2011?

on later models the headlights auto adjust based on sensors. there is no dial to adjust.

I need to check my wife's to be sure, but I know it's a 2012 and I think it has the dial.

I too have 2012 and also have a dial to adjust the aim. I think all non-tech packages get the dial.

i stand corrected.

i have all trim options available and thus no dial. the dial is in the owners handbook as well. I guess I ASSumed that on the 2012 and newer nissan did away with the dial.

Again my apologies for confusing the thread. I should have asked what trim options were on your car.

I have a 2012 with the Touring Package, Theater Package and I think the Wheel & Tire package, or maybe that came with the Touring Package. I do not have the tech package.

Just an FYI, the AUTO recirc button will not function when the temps are below 32F or 0C for obvious reasons.
