My 2000 I30 drivers seat wont move forwards or backwards, It move in all others direction but the way I need it. It there a way to overide it and move them manually. The bad part is that it is stuck all the way to the back which makes removing the seat impossible!! Wehn i puch the lever either way i can hear the relay click and the motor is warm.

The same thing happened to just last night. One of the bolts that holds the seat down has a verticle orientation. With the seat all the way back, this bolt cannot be accessed. There has to be some way to disengage the clutch of that motor inorder to manually adjust the seat position.

I just found this answer to someone with the same problem on a 2000 nissan maxima, which is the same car:
You have something stuck in the seat or the gears are gone. Remove the seat and check the action while you can see under it. If there is change or something else in the track it will be seen. If not it requires a new seat motor for the forward and back motion.

I read that those motor sometimes cease, and that I should tap on the motor with a hammer.
It worked for me.

There is a 1/2" wide threaded rod that runs underneath the left side of the drivers seat. As this screw turns the seat moves back and forth. At the point that the screw ends in the front of the seat there is a drive motor set up perpendicular to it.
All I did was pull on the plastic covering on the front left portion of the seat and gently tapped the motor with a hammer.

Stuck Seat
If you look under the front of the lower cushion you will see a small DC motor with a large white plastic straw looking thing sticking out of one side. If you need to move the seat for ideal positioning tap it very lightly with a hammer or suitable solid object, while pushing the forward/reverse switch and it will move for a little while. The motor will require replacement at some point as there is no repair a failed DC motor. It's just something that wears out over time, especially if you have the auto setting on the seat slider, not that you shouldn't use it its a great feature. Good Luck
