Dealer Protection Packages Worth It?

Hey guys - just bought a 2012 QX - one of the finance guys offered the following, and I can't find much info on the relative value of the package online:


3M ClearBra
Liquid Polymer "Permanent Paint" Environmental Shield
Protective treatment for all carpet
Leather UV and Stain Guard treatment
UV protection for dash and trim
Clear door edge guards

Total price: $1695

Worth it?

NO. Of course that is my opinion and you know everybody has an opinion and an ass^&%#. I feel that if you want the 3M bra & door guards you can get it done by an outside source (do some google search and customer reviews on the 3M; not sure I would want it). All the other protection items, UV protection etc. are things you can do yourself through routine maintenance/cleaning/detailing. Dealer add on's, extended warranties, & protection plans etc. are all profit, a big ripoff. $1695 will buy a lot of detail and cleaning products.
